A senior center breaks ground in Tyronza

A groundbreaking ceremony took place Wednesday morning in Tyronza by city officials and local residents, to celebrate the start of construction of their future senior center facility. Mayor of Tyronza, Marion Bearden, says this is something residents need. "We're blessed to have a lot of senior citizens, here, in our town," Bearden said. "Not having a facility for them to come together and enjoy fellowship and have activities.  We just saw the need for it and decided that we were going to go after it."
