MILLINGTON, Tenn. (December 12, 2023) - Ritter Communications, the largest privately held telecommunications service provider serving exclusively the Mid-South, celebrates the holiday season by donating $10,000 to The Millington Crisis Center and the Tipton County Carl Perkins Center. Each organization receives $5,000 to support their efforts in serving residents in west Tennessee.

The Millington Crisis Center works with residents in the 38053-zip code, which includes the city of Millington and the North Shelby County area. They supply several resources, such as job placement aid, financial assistance, clothing and hygiene items to individuals and families facing critical situations. The Crisis Center relies solely on donations from the community to continue providing support for residents in need.
“This donation is going to help someone stay in their house, provide diapers for their babies and help keep the lights on,” said Margaret Mallory, Director of the Millington Crisis Center. “We’ll stretch it as far as it can go.”
The Tipton County Carl Perkins Center supports families by offering assistance to prevent and address child abuse. The organization’s locations serve 20 counties across west Tennessee. Some of the organization’s services include advocacy for children, parenting classes, forensic interviews and behavioral therapy.
“We really appreciate Ritter Communications for donating,” said a representative of the Center. “The community doesn’t realize the lack of funding and the need that the children have here.”
